
KDict can be started directly from a terminal like Konsole or xterm. Several command line options are available.
word/phraselookup the given text. You will have to put the phrase into double quotes, if the phrase contains more than one word. For example: kdict "double quote"
-c / --clipboarddefine the current content of the clipboard.
-v / --versionDisplays the version number of KDict (and that of Qt™/KDE).
--licenseShows under which licenses KDict is being published.
KDict also supports all other command line options common to
KDE and Qt™ programs. You can get a list of these options with
