She has left me forever, leaving a gaping wound in my heart. My life slowly drips away, draining the color away with it.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
This is a reworking of an image I used for a CD cover a few years ago. The songs on it were all about unrequited love, so the image fit. For this version, I had the heart turn pale toward the top, and I moved the heart, light, and camera around a bit to emphasize the lonely feeling of the image. The heart itself is a cubic spline, intersected with a box, and merged with a mirror image of itself (all the better for creating smooth curves that meet at sharp points. Of course, the hole is just the result of a difference command, and the blood is a blob. Nothing too strenuous, as you can imagine.
