Nice theme. Maybe a rearangement of the fruits could show a bit more of the
apple's stem and orange's blossom to improve the realism. (otherwise it looks
too much like coloured balls). Nice real world surroundings.

But opposites can be compared to each other. The apples and oranges metaphor
refers to 2 different categories of things, not opposites within the same
category. As far as I know apples don't inherently have an opposite, although
red apples are the opposite colour to green ones. Apples are not opposite,
they're completely different.

This is a nice image and the concept is apparent.  Given the amount of light in
the room, one would expect soft shadows, not harsh shadows - a small but
important detail that distracts from your scene.  Still a nice looking image.
