IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
When I saw the topic "Minimalism" my first thoughts were of minimalistic interior design. This gave way to playing around with a variety of interior concepts with minimalist themes but none really seemed to exaggerate the minimalism. This line of thought eventually led me to the idea of a jail cell. The typical image that comes to mind when one thinks of a jail cell is about as minimalistic as you can get. There is enough furnishings to meet the basic needs of life and little else. There is a bed to sleep in and sit on, a toilet for doing what we all must, and a slot for food to be passed in. Concrete floors and cinderblock walls. No decoration, no luxaries, just the bare minimum.
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Much of this image is simply made of of primitives.

The toilet is a loft NURBS object. The chains holding up the bunk are made up of sweepNURBS making up each link and dupliciated. The sheets which were proabbly the most difficult are a loftNURBS object as well. I'm sure there is a much better way to do them but fabric always scares me and so I work with solid modeling when I can. I did break from that with the pillow which is a cube primtive with a Clothilde tag warping it around a distorted sphere.
