There is some pixelization around the edges in this image, as if there was no
anti-aliasing used.  I think the all-black entry took much less effort than
this one, by the way :P

An interesting image.  The shape is well modeled, though I'm guessing it is a
mesh of some sort due to the sharp edged shadows.  Speaking of edges, you've
got some diagonals that could really use some antialiasing.  The colors don't
seem to go together, and the lighting, while good, does suffer from some
over-illumination in spots.  Good work though, thank you for entering this
one.
