It bugs me that the rays are focusing incorrectly. The magnifying glass is
supposed to do the contrary: from a large area to a small area. Everything is
out of proportion.

(1) The light cone should be inverted.  The lens should focus the light down to
a point -- opposite the way you have it.
(2) There is no lens in the magnifying glass -- there is no distortion looking
through it.

Pros: nice ant model. 
Cons: Why would a magnifying glass float in air? Why would the ant stay there? 
The whole concept looks far fetched.
