I like the sky and the river.  I have not used teragen, so I don't know what's
possible, but there are some things that strike me as "wrong."  The canyons I
have seen are rarely this steep, and those that are still have thin beaches on
the inside corners of the turns in the rivers.  I would expect to see a rocky
beach on the shore in the mid right of the picture.  I would also like to see
some rapids where the river is still cutting into the rock.

The water looks good, although the waves don't really 
seem to suggest that it's flowing in any particular 
direction.  The terrain is also well done, although I find 
the layers a bit too uniform between the sections of the 
canyon.

Pros: Stunning photograph! (just kidding!!!). A true masterpiece! Modelling,
choice of colors and textures, lighting, camera location, all are excellent.
It's nice that you took the time to write a real short story to explain the
picture. 
Cons: colors are slightly washed out, maybe a slight contrast/brightness
correction would have been helpfull.
