The sky is the weakest part.  It looks very strange.  The next thing to change
is the lighting.  There are no shadows anywhere!  But I do like the rocks and
the plant itself.

with flowers growing in the grooves between big brimstone slabs.

Pros: Good composition, interesting point of view, good interpretation of the
topic. The sky is beautiful. 
Cons: The black rock in the background looks weirdly out of place. The stone
texture could be use more subtle variations, the plant looks somewhat flat and
lacking contrast. In fact, the whole scene seems washed out. 
Maybe it's a gamma issue and it looks perfect on your monitor? Hard to tell,
since you provided no information in the text file.
