I think this is an original way of interpreting the theme. No catastrophe is
"visible", but the "idea" of catastrophe is very present. Well done.
Technically however, I would expect some more work on the textures, especially
the sand(?). Also, the figure does not seem to make contact with the ground,
but neither has he a real shadow... Try to improve this, and the scene will
increase in poignant impact I believe.

My own personnal pick! Original concept, high visual interest, true artistic
value, strickingly expressive work. A little bit more contrast might have been
a plus.
