Nice concept.  However, something about the image made it sort of flat.  Perhaps

An interesting idea for a chess set. The camera angle doesn't show it off well,
though. Raising the camera & giving the board different colors would help.

Interesting modeling and concept, but a better viewpoint and some more work on
the composition would've made the chess set look better. Perhaps a bit fewer
different hues would've balanced the image, too.
