From helene.dumur@free.fr:
a great idea and a very good realisation, I like it very much.

From chrisbianchi@earthlink.net:
Very realistic. This I like!

From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:
A great image and great concept. The texture and lighting worked well.

From tigerhawk@stic.net:
I really like where you took this. Nice play on the theme and a thought
provoking and somewhat emotional picture. I also like the subtleties and
attention to detail you devoted to this picture.

From a.martone@retepnet.it:
Buona interpretazione, ma soffre della sindrome 3dstudio (mix di oggetti
realistici e oggetti poco realistici). La base del treno e la texture del
pavimento sono assai cupi, mentre i tappi delle conserve sono luminosissimi.

From rgow@lanset.com:
Good concept. Good modelling & textures. Better get a heavier can though, the
locomotive wheels are not touching the floor.

=====
From jacoons@ameritech.net:
Extra points for realism, esp rust, dents and wall. I would probably give this
second place.

From jgrimbert@free.fr:
Some natural laws seems to be forgotten by some objects.

=====
From fine@head.cfa.harvard.edu:
This is technically impressive, and thematically powerful, and simply
beautiful.

The lighting or positioning is just a bit off, as some of the objects don't
appear to be touching the ground. Some of the edges have an odd contrast
thing going on that I'm not sure what it is from. But these are minor nitpicks
of a great work.

From jouni@mikrobitti.fi:
Neither a child nor a raytracer with an imagination is ever poor. The cabin of
the loco is the weak spot of your modeling, but the excellent ideas and use of
simple everyday objects net you my first concept-20 this round. It may not be
the image of the century, but you have my respect for the very nice work done.

=====
From p.gibellini@teinos.com:
Notable for lightning and composition.
This won't be certainly the image of the century, but is
cool!
Complimenti davvero!

From jussi.kantola@iki.fi:

Looks like a finished image. The concept / idea moves me. Very good lighting
that would receive a higher technical merit score if done in POV-Ray :)

From bertram.henze@t-online.de:
Nice objects with a look and - most important - a feel. I wonder: why does the
locomotive seem to hover above the floorboards, the wheels not touching their
shadows?

From file:
The realism in your image is impressive. If this is your first entry, I look
forward to what else you will submit.

From file:
Although not the image of the century, the theme is original and moving. The
composition is classical, but well done and the few flaws do not detract from
the harmony of the image.
Notable for composition, originality
