What a dramatic and startling image.  It really makes you sit down and think. 
That said, I think its off topic.  Lies of epic proportion?  That's really
quite a stretch to go off on a political soapbox.  As far as the image is
concerned, it is very busy.  Some work on the textures would make the scene a
little more believable.  The ghost images do not show up very well and are
distracting at best.  The sandal pile is a technical feat and worthy of
compliments.  This scene does have more going for it than many of the entries.

I do not dispute or disagree with you on the debacle in Iraq.  However, I think
this piece is too political in nature.  At any rate, the image is in poor
taste.      The sandal pile has several problems: there needs to be variation,
better textures, and maybe even some left-footed sandals.  Also, there are some
serious problems with intersecting sandals in the foreground.  The image is
cluttered and most of the elements in it appear to be there more to take up
space than to add some meaning to the image.

My favorite this round. You have managed to fit into one little image almost
every symbol there is connected to this horrible war. The only thing I could
possibly criticize is the girl in the foreground, she looks kind of blue on my
monitor, like she_s very, very cold or even dead. The rest is just superb.
