Not a bad looking scene.  I think a harsh light would have helped or less
ambient lighting. Then you could have added local lighting to highlight the
elements.

A 'darkside' image like this is very difficult to create a dynamic scene from. 
Without good light sources, the image ends up being very flat, cold, and dull. 
I do like the way you were able to smooth out portions of the rough terrain to
build the structures on.  Clever technique.
