IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Rene Magrite is one of the world's greatest Surrealist painters, and 'The
Human Condition, I' is probably
his most appreciated work. This image is a 'tribute' to the painting, and is
based on Magrite's notorious
easel motif, portraying it in a more unusual, surreal and perhaps sinister
way.

I believe that this image raises an important question - can we believe
what
we see?

The large mushrooms - are they rock, or are they real? The painting on the
easel seems too accurate to be
that of a painting - so is it real, or an illusion?

First impressions can be wrong - can we truly believe everything we see
here?

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

*The mushroom rocks were assembled - large boolean spheres on rock objects
*Backround landscape and railings were built
*The upper easel was constructed using cuboid and cylinder objects
*The lower easel was created separately, and later added on the main file
*Sky was edited, and camera angle adjusted to complete the optical illusion
