Heh heh, cute concept. Good job on the snow! Some of the little snowmen appear
to have their heads on backwards?

From leoszilard@yahoo.com:

The snow on the tree impressed me, and the idea is cute. The smowmen are still
a bit rigid.

From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com:
Although not entirely within topic, still an entry of note, especially because
of all the snowflakes.

From raytracing@grayproductions.net:
My only thoughts are that the snow could be a little more shiny/reflective. I
like your concept quite a bit though. Nice work.

From tek@evilsuperbrain.com:
lol, that's cute!

Some suggestions: try it with a lighter sky or reduce the distance your light
shines over, at the moment the horizon is light against a black sky which looks
odd. Snow should be whiter and slightly shiny, and the snowmen might look more
natural if they weren't so spherical.

On the whole, nice work :)

Even though the architecture involved is very simple, it still is architecture
and the picture looks fun (you don't see much fun picture this round).

Thougb, I feel there is something missing in there... not the house, not the
textures, neither the sky, but something in the actions of the snowmen; no one
seems to be following a plan, maybe some workers should be doing stupid things
or I don't know... Nice picture anyway!

I think the concept gets high marks. You do a pretty good job. Perhaps a few
tracks in the snow for the crane and the little snowman workers would have been
a nice touch. I like the track in the snow for the large head. The worker
snowmen look a bit too smooth for snow. Still nice image.

technically good, but the theme is badly interpreted; sorry :-(

This snow looks like clay or something! Trust me, I know, I_ve lived in Iceland
for the most part of my life. I know what snow looks like. Try to change the
ambient color of the snow material (see Pov manual) to some faint violet-blue
and see what happens. The truth is that in the almost dark hours, with or
without moonlight, you see snow as blueish, not grey. That is why this is
especially important in night scenes. And now to your scene: You have put a lot
of effort in this scene and I like the concept of the snowmen making this
statue (the Snowmen Statue of Liberty?) Good work!

very nice idea ... as you say could have done with a little more time but i like
it

While not one the most technical or artistic images here, this is one of my
favourites! Some detail in the background would have added huge ammounts to
this image.

From chris_hormann@gmx.de:
Cute idea although it's more 'engineering' than 'architecture'
The crane suffers from some 'mechanical problem'...

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Interesting interpretation of the topic. Adding
randomness to the snowmen and making the snow less
perfect are nice touches. One thing I would like to see
added would be tracks for the crane (to go with the
"trench" from making the huge snowman's head). The
snow on the trees looks quite good, but it is somewhat
awkward in the middle (just above the shadow from the
head).
