Very cool scene. I like the colors and the composition. Could maybe be darker.

The lighting of the picture looks a bit off... This might be because of it being
an alien world, but it bothers me a little nonetheless. I do like the feeling
of decay that comes from the image, which is generally a difficult thing to do
in raytraces.

Wow!

I think this shows that the more details you have in your scene the more
realistic it looks. If I look closely at any one thing I can see how it's
built, but the overall effect is that I'm looking through a window at a
different world!

I like the sci-fi art feel, the varied and wierd structures, and particularly
the whole layout of the scene. There's a great sense of depth and scale going
from the tiny foreground objects to the huge buildings in the distance.

I only have one suggestion for improving it, try using more varied textures:
e.g. bird feathers, different shades of wood, windows on the buildings, more
natural clouds. But that's a pretty minor issue in such a nice scene.

This image is one that I would classify as almost there but needs more attention
to detail. I think if you are going to put objects into the foreground, they
really need to look good. The plant and bird needed more work. In addition
and perhaps even more importantly they look 2D rather than 3D. Adjusting the
lighting on those objects would have them jump out a bit more.

Lots of great details in a very surreal world. Many elements, both classical
and futuristic in one scene. Good proportions, good layout. I miss more
details on how your created this scene in your text file, are you using
Isosurfaces? Macros? Makes me curious. Nice work.

i rated this high on artistic merit as i love the fact that you painted this in
1987 and raytraced it now

Nice use of fog. Clouds seem somewhat flat.
