Great architecture! Foreground & trees not quite up to same level.

From leoszilard@yahoo.com:

I wish it were completed. I wasn''t sure why there were two towers with nothing
in the middle. Otherwise, the scene is a little repetitive, but certainly
impressive for completely modelled.

From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com:
Impressive in detail, and the trees are quite intricate too... Never seen
anything like them.

From tek@evilsuperbrain.com:
Great modelling. My only suggestion to improve the models would be to add some
kind of interior to the round building, because you can see through the windows
that it's empty. Other than that the detail is incredible.

The textures are very flat, it would look much better with a varied rough stone
texture, glass in the windows that isn't perfectly flat, and just generally a
bit of dirt and ageing on everything.

Also the environment seems very flat and featureless. The sky's one flat colour,
and the grey part of the ground has no texture. The lighting is nice, but I'd
suggest perhaps trying more contrast (darker shadows, brighter direct light),
to really add some visual interest to the scene.

You're on the right track to make beautiful images, but unfortunately you don't
seem to have an artistic sense... An artistic image would have movement, would
tell a story, have a past and a future... and all this in a still image...
When looking at your picture, I see a very nice render of a blue-print! Try
working on the concept of you future IRTC submissions!

I rate your technial merit high because of the attention to detail. Great
stuff! However, the image seems a bit stale, ...why? Perhaps it is the
lighting or the stark contrast between the detail of the buildings and the lack
of detail in the sorroundings ...or both. This has a lot of potential with the
right lighting and attention to detail in the rest of the scene.

From hildurka@simnet.is:
This scene is filled with beautiful details, classical elements and great care
taken in every detail. It is a pity you didn_t manage to finish the scene, but
it is well understandable. Everything takes time. The only real weakness I find
is that the scene looks flat, like it is more 2D than 3D. Maybe it is
intentional, but by changing the position of the main light more to the right
side might have given this colossal building mode depth and realism. Also the
position of the camera, with the foreground is missing, makes this look more
like a drawing than a 3D scene. But then again, this may be intentional. The
color of the main building looks a little too plain gray (RGB all the same
value), like it is sprayed with silvery paint or something. In real world most
grays include either a little red, yellow or blue depending on the material.
But good work, and you show great skills in using Pov Ray.

Nice modelling work with impressive details. The scenery looks somewhat
clean.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Excellent work with the CSG modelling. The level of
detail is impressive. The atmosphere of the scene is
somewhat lacking as the sky/ground lack the detail
present in the other elements of the scene.

Excellent model, very impressive.

From r@ip68-11-81-210.no.no.cox.net:
A lot of work put to good use. Level of detail is astonishing for not using a
modeller. Some textures look a little too "clean."
Notable for composition, modelling

Good modelling. Soft details. Not very realistic trees.
Notable for composition, lighting, modelling

looks very orthogonal - even more perspective here ?
Notable for modelling
