From tek@evilsuperbrain.com:
You know, it might have been nice to try to replicate the sundog phenomenon
using povray, rather than just this rough collage of photos.

=====
From rgow@lanset.com:
Rendered in PovRay? Why? I see nothing in here at all that looks 3d. Surely
MS Paint could do just as well.

=====
From fcueto@yahoo.com:
Hmmm!!!
=====
From ggargett@attbi.com:
Huh?  Is this even raytraced?

=====
From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com:
Is this a raytrace? Why are the dogs so pixely?
=====
From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com:

Quite the aliasing in this image. BTW, not to sound too harsh, but I don't
think your using povray for what it was intended.
=====
From klynn@telefish.net:
No 3D models. Cool idea, though.

=====
From sammyf@wanadoo.fr:
as was pointed out in IRTC-L, you're not applying to the rules. Although you
used PovRay, it could have been made exactly as it is with any 2D-Graphics
package :\
Sorry.

=====
From raytracing@grayproductions.net:

A rereading of the rules, and more importantly following them, may improve
future scores.
=====
From jonathan@scudder.no:
Nice photo, but not much 3d modelling or rendering it seems.

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:

This may not be in violation of the letter of the rules, but it certainly is in
violation of its spirit. I can give no points for this, as the image, as seen,
is not really the output of a 3D rendering process.
=====
From bpjackson@woh.rr.com:
This is not exactly thought provoking.

=====
From david.madore@ens.fr:
This is a joke entry (in the sense that it is no raytracing at all - POVray
having been used only as a pretext. The explanation about "sundogs", however,
is interesting.

=====
From dick@buckosoft.com:
The dogs look terrible, they are too distorted in their enlarged size and the
pixelated outline adds a less than good effect to an otherwise nice picture.

=====
From clem@dhol.org:
Rules violation. "Tricky" technicalities don't impress me.
At least download the GIMP (free) and get rid of the
jaggies if you are going to abuse the contest this way.

=====
From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Low technical score given as this image relies on 2D
tools (paint, etc.) rather than being primarily a 3D
rendered/raytrace using Pov-Ray (or other 3D program)
to achieved desired effects.

=====
From slone@hiwaay.net:
This one had me laughing out loud for quite some time! Not really 3D
but rendered within the rules of the competition. IRTC = IDIC!

=====
From r@jerkweed.kiva.net:
If you could have rendered sundogs in 3d, then this would have been a creditable
image, but you took your images from other places.
