Not a bad idea, but some technical points struck me:
- the outer diameter of the bullet is a lot smaller than the inner diameter of
the gun's barrel. Real bullets fit _very_ tight into the barrel.
- at the moment the bullet leaves the barrel, the hot gases are in immediate
pursuit and under very high pressuer. They would not only make a small puff of
smoke, but shoot very quickly into all directions, and also past the bullet.
- The way the hand (a few more blobs would have made it look a lot less
"blobby") holds the gun, the recoil would have knocked it out of the hand. The
palm needs to be _behind_ the pistol grip to absorb the recoil.

This image is pretty heterogeneous.  Some parts of it are nice (the skeleton,
the smoke caused by the bullet's escape) while others are very unsatisfactory
(the hand holding the weapon).

I completely agree with the sentiments in the text file.  The 
idea of literally freezing such moments is, incidentally, 
quite poetic.  The skeleton in the background is interesting 
symbolism, although it needs to be more visible. It did 
take a moment to understand.  I am glad that you modelled 
the hand yourself.  I get tired of all the Poser people 
occasionally.  The flesh texture isn't bad, but the gun and 
bullet are too plastic looking.  Good effort.

Creating an image of skeleton in the smoke from the gun 
is an excellent way of giving emotion to the work.  The 
hand could use more work, as the blob components are 
fairly obvious.
