I like the idea behind this, recreating a moment you remember.

The scene could use some colour and more details (though not in excess). The
overall feel is good but the sky is very flat.

Nice moon! The water looks too flat IMO.

The picture looks good, but it doesn't really match the theme.

From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com:

One question, was the moon also this size when you were viewing it in india? :P
The water could do with some more tweaking. I think if people do not read the
title they may not guess the scene involves a boat out in the open at all.

Boat and red light are indistinct...Nice moon and star field! Sea has
reflection!

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:

The water looks a bit like the moon surface, and the boat seems to have a cow
hide. But overall this is a nice image.

From david.madore@ens.fr:
The scene was probably very nice in real life, but this rendition of it does not
capture the beauty of the instant, unfortunately. The sea simply does not look
like a sea.

From clem@dhol.org:
The idea ad potential but you need a sense of frozen
motion. The wake helps, but it isn't really enough. The
minimalism works, but the boat should be a bit closer to
the point of view. The water looks more like a mud plain
with this lighting. That fact is a major reason for the
perceived lack of (frozen) motion. The snap impression
says "stuck in the mud" instead.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
The moon looks fairly realistic, but I would recommend
putting an emitting media around it (or possibly behind it)
to help give the appearance that it is glowing. The
water somehow doesn't seem reflective, or at least not
reflective in a way suggestive of water.

From batronyx@alliancecable.net:
Nice image. Very peaceful.

BTW. We cat see 'what' is in it. It is customary to explain 'how' they were made
or from where the objects were obtained. Here the construction of the boat and
the starfield are interesting. Is the boat a mesh or CSG? Is the star field a
pigment pattern? Which one? Also, is the moon a textured sphere or an image_map
on a planar surface?

From slone@hiwaay.net:
Stark, dramatic image, though I couldn_t tell it was a boat on water.
In my imagination I saw an airplane crashing in the desert.
