I like the spotlighted character.  Something about the composition is off 
for me, though.  I guess I'm not sure what to make of the groupings of 
seemingly happy "normal" characters.  The greys run together a bit - which 
I can see could be a good thing as it shows the homgenaity of the normals, 
but it also makes the scene hard to decypher.

The use of the spotlight is an excellent way to draw 
attention to the "loner."  Some of the other images with 
the same kind of theme you have here also use colour to 
set apart the "loner," and that might be a good idea to 
try here to add to the contrast between those who have 
company and the one who is alone.

The figures look interesting.  Good use of light to draw 
attention to the one (although, given the topic, shouldn't 
he be in darkness while the others are well-lit?)  I'm not 
sure why the sky was given such an odd rotation.

The cartoony xmas ornament bodies detract from the 
isolation by handicap theme.  To get impact from this idea 
the characters, although they may be abstract or cartoony, 
need t obe more capable of showing emotion and evoking 
empathy.  The color scheme is unpleasant without being 
atmospheric.
