It's a nice idea, but everything looks very flat. I suggest using radiosity, or
more light sources.

From henry@unforgettable.com:

i like it, a lot of the modelling is very nice. everything's a little pristine
though, for realism you need to add some dirt etc.

From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com:
Too neat and the objects don't really form a whole, but at least everything is
well visible.

=====
From ojamies@cs.helsinki.fi:
Objects don't seem to be in scale and many parts are too perfect. Throw in some
radiosity, reflections and highlights.

From ruy@hipernet.com.br:
i like the concept.

From dapigg2000@yahoo.com:
It'd be abit better if you didn't use the same texture for the tabletop & the
floor, but a good image nonetheless

Belle collection de solitaires et patiences en tous genres!
Encore de longues nuits en solitaire devant l'ordinateur pour travailler les
textures et l'_clairage. Bonne continuation ;-)

From rclee@oklahoma.net:
Good work. The textures are a bit too clean.

From glenn@mccarters.net:
This would be an ideal scene to render with radiosity.
Radiosity rendering would help add to the realism of the lighting by =
adding some deeper shadows under the furniture.
Some of the woodgrain textures could use some work to orient the grain =
in more appropriate directions.
As your title suggests, this image is more about "solitude" than =
"lonliness".

Nice scene :)

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
The texture for the water looks very nice, but its
intersection with the beach is a little awkward. I would
expect a smoother coastline and/or some foam. A nice
assortment of objects, but one minor detail is that the
Rubik's cube is impossible to solve (the middle cube one
the edge facing you has two green sides).

=====
From selsek@fnac.net:
The rubik's cube has no shadow!! It's not a full-csg
image! :-))

From angelsdie2@aol.com:
I like the idea of the pic but the table just doesn't work quite right --
first off, the slats on the table align too well with the slats on the floor.
It makes for continuous lines in the image that can sometime be desirable
but don't work too well in this situation.... also the alignment of the
objects on the table seems too straight -- I realize that given the amount of
table space there isn't anywhere else to put the stuff, but the straight line
doesn't work for me. Part of the problem -- the cards are too wide. If they
were smaller then you could have put something beside them to break up the
line behind them...

From patrick@sypa.net:
its more like vacations... not loneliness.

=====
From StephenF@whoever.com:
Not bad at all. I like the use of various solo activities to
convey loneliness. Better textures would help the scene
a lot, I think. I can't help wondering why the water is so
gray and dark when the sky is so clear and bright? The
window stands out to me as looking too simplistic
compared to the other objects in the scene. Still, a
good attempt at making a complex scene.

On a tropical island with nothing better to do than solitaire
games and goldfish feeding. I like it. Little false note - the
picture on the wall is more realistic than the "real" scene.
