I don't think the rock itself can be improved upon much, but the glass seems
rather odd. I've been to Bodmin Moor too, and I had the feeling it looked
different, but that might also be the season.

Close-ups do not make for a proper perspective. Give it some real distance and
scope. Thin out the fog if you have to.

Great concept.

Too plain for my tastes. Not bad, just plain.

From rclee@oklahoma.net:
Interesting. I can smell the fog.

Interesting contrasts between this image and jgmrock.jpg in this =
competition. I have to admit that I like the other one better. Partly =
because of its careful attention to detail. But mostly because the =
light and shadow interplay produces a drama and grandeur that your scene =
doesn't capture. I think the fog works against you here -- how do I =
know if there isn't plenty of other similar rocks nearby, none of them =
lonely at all?

From bill@apocalypse.org:
similar to jmgrock.. Decent grass, but Gilles Tran's grass might have
looked better. Very good shape on the rock, though it has a unreal
(almost lunar) sponginess to it.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Interesting method for creating the grass. It works quite
well for the grass farther away from the camera, but
doesn't really stand up to closer inspection when near
the camera. The rock look fairly convincing.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
Nice rock. The grass looks interesting, but doesn't look
quite right to me.

From clem@dhol.org:
This is a more lonely rock, but I think the fog hurts more
than helps.
