Very nice image with great details, but it doesn't really give me a feeling of
loneliness. I like your explanation so I don't think the image is off topic,
but it would have been nice to see someone lonely in the kitchen.

From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com:
Unfortunately I feel that the kitchen is a very happy place, where you cook for
groups of people that might visit, or where you can create pleasing meals for
yourself. I associate food with life... Even though technically it is well made
(it really looks like a kitchen with enough cluttering objects) it misses the
lonely feel that would make it fit the theme.

From darwallace@earthlink.net:
An everyday kitchen doesn't give that dark mood. A long-abandoned one (cobwebs,
broken plates, rot) does.

From ruy@hipernet.com.br:
It doesn't strike me as a fair depiction of the topic "loneliness".

=====
From dapigg2000@yahoo.com:
I see there are no people, but I don't really get the link to the topic either.
A kitchen with no people in it?... oh well.

Excellent modeling and good lighting.

Nicely realized. Yes, that sense of moment, mortality, that permeates our a=
wareness. Heightened in an emotionally loaded environment.

I really like this image, but it doesn't seem to suggest "lonliness" to =
me, somehow.
Quite good technical work -- lots of fascinating details in the models. =
I like the spoons, knobs, curtains. For further realism, you might want =
to try using area lights and radiosity. Your rendering time will shoot =
up significantly, but the effect on a scene like this one is worth the =
wait, I think. Fine work overall.

Wonderful detail

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Excellent detail and assorment of objects to create a
complete kitchen. Two things I find awkward are the
cupboards (being able to see into the cupboards
between the doors), and the "vent" above the oven (too
shiny/reflective).

From StephenF@whoever.com:
Nice job of filling out a scene with lots of small details.
Everything looks good here except the texture on the
cabinets... for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me.
Lighting works well. I don't really get loneliness from it,
though.

From jl@artcom-gmbh.de:
Very nice modeling, only the curtains look a bit strange.

=====
From clem@dhol.org:
You can indeed be lonely in a kitchen, but all I see here is
kitchen. It doesn't convey the "lonely" aspect to me at all.
The modelling is very good, but the effect is more technical
skill than artistic.
