A very nice image.  The statue could use some more material work though, but it

Maybe some underwater lighting to bring out the water.  I know the water is
reflecting the black night, but it's difficult actually make out that there is
water.

When I saw this image, I assumed you were doing "Zeus in Olympus", showing 
the loneliness of even a god.  But, you text revealed a much more vague 
concept.  :-)  Anyway, I like it.

The textures for the fires and the platform look 
excellent.  The statue's arms seem somewhat awkward 
to me.  They appear to be too thin along the vector 
perpendicular to his palm.  Oh.. the thumb seems a little 
too long too.
