Very good work! Nice lighting, scenery, and the theme is well interpreted.
This one will be a top runner for sure.

A very good entry in my opinion.
But I think it would result better without the car.
Best regards.

Spiffy. Good. "Lotsa points for j00."

The grass is excellent. Did you try using mesh copies to reduce RAM usage?
Basically, create a "block" of randomized grass using only a few
thousand blades
inserted into a mesh { } and then copy the block. 90 degree rotations
would allow
some variation. On a flat surface this may work better than, say, on a
steep
heightfield, but it would allow much more grass for far less RAM.

The trees are also very nicely done and impressive for having re-invented
the technique yourself instead of using a ready made plug in.

Common idea, but very good modelling and lighting. Very
moody.

So are you rendering this from the grave or what? ;-)

From rclee@oklahoma.net:
Nice image. The stones look a bit too clean.

From jrcsurvey@aol.com:
You have included a good amount of detail to complete the scene and I applau=
d your use of home-rolled macros. The trees and grass came our quite nicely=
. I like the way the quotidian details contrast with the implied inner turm=
oil of the figure.

Nice job, but I think it would be slightly better without the car. What =
does it add?
Good stone work and variety.

The mood of this image is established very well, and the background trees and
foreground grass are nicely done. Notable for modeling and composition.

This scene really works for me, evoking loneliness.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
Excellent work. The scene looks very realistic. I would
have moved the camera slightly so that the corner of a
tombstone didn't show up at the bottom of the screen.
The only other improvement I can think of is putting
some dirt on the car/tire, as would be expected on a car
driven on a rainy day.

;-) Why is she sitting down, it is raining ... the ground is wet also !!!

From StephenF@whoever.com:
Excellent job modelling all the objects in the scene.
Tombstones look nice, and I like the way the trees
turned out. Grass looks good but a bit odd to me...
seems to almost have a painted look, but it works well
with the mood of the scene. Concept seems a bit
predictable but is well-developed here.

I don't buy the philosophy in the text file, but the image
does express it. Perhaps a bunch of flowers just laid
down, rapidly being destroyed by the relentless rain?
