I knew that there would be a wolf entered into this competition. I like the way
the light moves through the trees.

Very nice trees and atmosphere.

I don't know what kind of media you are using... type 4 is typical for air.
Make the media as sparse as possible while maintaining an effect. The media is
so thick as to turn night nearly into day.

Very nice artistic image. I like the evening feel in this one. Some
improvement on texture contrast would bump this image up another notch.

I like the concept a lot. In a round filled with cliches, this one is breath of
fresh air.

From p.olice@free.fr:
Nice modelling, very good lighting. The composition though is too "flat", too
centered on the woolf. I suggest keeping the angle, but adopting a vertical
format, and bringing the wolf more to the side of the image.

Very very good work here.

From rclee@oklahoma.net:
Good lighting. Nice tree texture except for the stump
on the left, some problems there.

From jrcsurvey@aol.com:
You have got some good effects going on, especially the tree bark and media.=
It gives a sense of desolation which is related to loneliness.

From glenn@mccarters.net:
Good work on the wolf and the very rough bark of the trees. The shadowy =
light and the grey tones convey the theme pretty well.

From bill@apocalypse.org:
Excellent use of shadows and color, trees look great. Wolf isn't bad.

From p_chan@shaw.ca:
The lighting in the scene looks excellent. It really gives
the feel of a moonlit forest. The isosurface trees in the
foreground look good, but the closest tree (far left) has
some issues with the top disintegrating. I'm not too sure
how that could be easily fixed - you'd probably have to
spend hours tweaking the noise function. I don't know
if it would be possible to remove the "disjoint" parts
using CSG to cut of chunks of the tree. Might be worth
a shot.

From jl@artcom-gmbh.de:
Nice lighting effects. The stump in the bottom left corners looks a bit as
if there are pieces floating in the air.

From clem@dhol.org:
Nice semiabstract image. I like the fact that the pose isn't
the overdone "on a hilltop howling at the moon" scene. In
fact, this wolf is howling away from the light source. The
broken trees and atmosphere of decay amplify the
message well.I have been i places much like this and you
convey the feel well.
