The title on the book and the blanket on the side of the bed were a little
distracting. I do like the ceiling fan.

I like the lamp/fan on the ceiling.

Rock hard bed. Ouch. :)

I like the ceiling fan and the rippled effect in the spotlight. You
noted the problems with the blanket yourself. And I found the rest of
the image a bit washed out and flat.

I like this one a lot. While it may leave something to be
desired from a technical standpoint, it has a cool look to
it that suits the subject matter well. The shape of the
blanket looks good on the bed and floor but the hanging
part is too straight (although that's probably what was
meant by 'could use more work'). Good use of color and
lighting to create mood. To me, good texturing is all-
important in creating a realistic scene... decent objects
(like the ones here) with good textures look better than
detailed, complex objects with bad (or even just too
simple) textures. For example, the beddding here has a
shiny, almost plastic look to it. Try spending an hour or
two sometime just adjusting the finish parameters, and
I'd recommend adding a very light normal to it as well, to
break up the light some.

I like your lighting effect. It is hard making cloth using
height fields. You should try triangle mesh. Doing so by
hand can be tedius, so I use 'Triangles "by David Sharp
