IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

The first thing I normally see when I look out the window is snow. When I look
closer I see that
the snow is covering a mountain. It's not hard to get inspired with wintery
ideas when you live
in Iceland. Unfortunately I was completely dry of ideas when I started thinking
about this, so I decided to go
with the typical snow-man.
You'll most likely notice the simplicity of the image. There are two reasons
for that.
I am a beginner in the field of 3D art and therefore tried keeping it simple the
first few times.
Second, I felt making it simple would express the cartoony feel of a snow-man
better than having
it photo-realistic.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

The glaciers are just a plane that's been pulled up into mountains. The
snow-man is as simple as
it can get, three spheres, eyes, nose and some buttons. You all know that, we
were all kids once.
For the sky I chose a swirl texture to create a better cartoony mood. Used a
couple of omni lights,
one with shadow projection, and I'm set.
Simple, eh?
Just take it easy on me, I'm a new-comer.
