I like how you've done the lighting for this scene.  The 
texture on the chair is pretty good (it actually gives the 
impression of being soft), but the mother sitting on the 
chair doesn't create a depression in the chair, which 
suggest the chair isn't all that soft afterall.

Some nice work here... the plant and table with book 
look especially good.  The figure looks pretty good, 
although a bit lumpy in spots (especially the upper legs).  
The choice of lighting seems a bit odd to me... the cone 
of light highlighting the mother is a good idea, but the 
unlit areas seem too dark to me... would be nice to see 
a little detail showing through in the background.
