You've done a nice job creating an alien world with a 
more "human" colony as a centerpiece.  However, your 
interpretation of the "worlds withing worlds" theme had 
to be explained, rather than being evident in the image.  
I would have been better if you had created the scene 
so we could see it from the "zoo" perspective, as this 
would emphasizes the concept of the miniworlds, rather 
than showing the existence of only one such miniworld.

The head looks really good.  Sky is simple yet effective. 
Too many busy textures warring with each other almost 
kill the scene for me... different texture choices would 
improve the scene a lot, I think. Interesting approach to 
the topic.
