I was thinking along the lines of this kind of thing for my own image, but I
think you've done it better than I could have.
The hand in particular looks good, but the wood texture on the ship could do
with some work.

The ghost hands effect looks really good.  The water is 
also a reallly nice effect, but it looks far too reflective 
for a patch of water that thick.
