  Warfare - war, at least - is something like 
this. . . beauty is attacked by the ugly.

  There is not much to this concept, or contest 
topic, because war is for the simple-minded 
(yes, even if - especially if - an intellingent 
person is forced to fight).  I mean, think 
about it. . . someone kills someone else to 
defend some privilege or staus quo.  Not hard 
to understand, or succeed at.  That is why we do
not give the soldier Red Badges of Coherent 
Thought, or the Purple Brain.

  I know it is heavy-handed symbolism, but I have 
had some difficulties these last 2 months with 
my computer.  So it is down-and-dirty.
