That's the best Blender image I've ever seen!

You must be proud! After closing my mouth, I've managed to return to real
world,
and tought that I can't say what renderer was used (I usually look first at the

images). When I've read it was Blender, it really amazed me. Finally, it is not

that bad, "au contraire"! It's only that the users of a new package need some
time to learn and show what the program can do. And you are the first one that
really demonstrated that Blender is something serious... Great!

I quite like this picture.

Technically, some objects don't look perfectly realistic to me, e.g. the bottom
of the candle on the right.

From delfeld@mailcity.com:
Interesting work with a rather common theme. I like the image overall, and
there is good use of lighting and coloring throughout. One point to note is
that the monk in the middle is flanked by two light areas (rays of light and
the book); The far background wall, however, moves from dark to light (left to
right), with the value of the objects on the shelves changing in contrast
against that. Such movement of contrast centers the image; however with the
light rays in front of it, That centering effect is hidden, and the visual
movement is from right to left.

A very nice scene with lots of small, well-done details
which really bring it to life. The monk in particular looks
very good. Nice job using various lighting effects,
although the light coming through the window seems a
bit too banded.

I love it, all the little details, the book, the candles, the bottles, the monk
model could have more work, it_s nice but ears and mouth are too big. The
texture of the tunic is more like wood than fabric.
