From elias@users.sourceforge.net:
I really like this image.

Artistic Merit: I give this high score, because of the impression the picture
has on me. It feels like being caught in a kids' story, or in a computer game.
I can almost hear the crackling noise of the torch, or the voices of the two
characters speaking to each other. The mushrooms give an extra point for added
detail.

Technical Merit: I very like the Goblin (I wished I could do such cloth) and the
red ball, also the torch. I interprete the trees as stone-trees, so their look
also is ok. The spheres at the top look weired though, and some places are too
clean.

Concept, originality, interpretation of theme: I just love it, so I give high
points here.

Really a good piece of work, there is life in your
picture that's a good quality,no doubt you will improve if you keep on working
that way, specially with Blender, wich is a very good soft as you said;
good staging, fog at the right place,i would have hoped the torch to illuminate
the black character's face (try to add short distance lamps with high energy
placed at the torch origin and rotated towards his face,do some test modifying

Wish I could make the same with Blender... I didn't realize there were trees
until I read the description, look more like columns. The grass is too bright,
IMO

From delfeld@mailcity.com:
Not much to say about the image, except that the figures look nice. . . but you
say they are copies from someone else's design in a catalogue. The theme is
broader than you have explored, and you need to put more of your own ideas into
your work. You obviously can render whatever you think, so do not back down
from the most difficult - but most rewarding - part of art.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
The ground and grass look good here. Nice mood to the
scene overall. Figures could use some work, but not a
bad attempt.

From file:
Nice work, seems a bit simple in the textures. I like the the detail on the
ground, the toadstool gives a enjojable focus to the eye.
