Artistically the background needs to exist.  The black 
emphasises the tool, but takes it way out of context.  An 
artist's studio, draft table or factory would have been 
better than nothing.
Techincally the tool is well donr, just the right touch or 
reflection and the details look nice
I think you stretched the concept a bit here though...and 
the idea has been done before (heck it is in the irtc 
banner)

I like the complexity of the brush, and the way the 
picture fades out around the edges.  The wood texture 
could use a little work, I think.  And I'm not sure about 
the solid black background... I'm thinking a plain-
colored wall might work, but then again I'd have to see 
it to know if it would work.

Reminds me of an image from a previous IRTC round.  Good mechanical
modeling.  Good image on paper.  Tabletop texture needs lots of work.
Sensible design except the robot arm is much too skinny and lightweight.
Red wire is too stiff and unsupported.  Good lighting.  Metallic texture is
strange.  Good idea and image overall.
