If it had not been for your notes the hot-cold contrast here would not have

Very well framed, and lit quite well.  However, it appears 
that the woman is looking to the right of the 
snowman...maybe at the tree branch the snowman is 
holding that seems to extend from the tree way in the 
back .
Technically the water looks great, but the wood texture 
needs to be improved. The icy grass is good, but what is 
the nicely rounded hole in the snow bank about?
Concept is good if a bit strained.

Definitely some nice work here.  I'm glad you decided to 
add the girl's reflection... it does a lot to make the scene 
work for me.  The snowman looks pretty cool (no pun 
intended), but the face seems rather large, and the coal 
seems rather flat for some reason.  I like the shaping on 
the trees and the snow drifts.
