Your image has lots of potential. Overall it seems a bit simplistic. Your space
ship after burners should exhibit a little more glow and the space ship itself
needs more texture. Your monitors should be given more of a glassy texture.
Your keyboards look great and your stargates are nicely done.

A good idea.  Not really what I think of when I hear the word laboratory, but it
made me think a bit.  I think you should do more work on your textures.  Maybe
make your "traveller" shiny, and PLEASE don't use repeated image maps for
things (panel behind monitors).  It makes it look like a 3D shooter game.

tastes.  The gates and their interior look good.  With 
some work to make it more realistic this could be a very 
nice scene.
