I really think you should try to follow the topic a little more literally.  Your
scene could use a bit of work as well.  Your sand looks a little funny to me (I
think you should scale down your "bumps" normal so that it's really small...
that might help).  Try to layer some pigments on the sky_sphere and make some
clouds.  That would have helped enormously.
