Wow! I really love the painted look of the image. Some parts of the image look
like they were made in a paint program, esp. some of the hair, but I doubt
this. Nice work. Not a standard raytraced looking picture, to be sure.

Looks great (modelling, lighting etc.)  I don't really understand what is
happening in this scene.  What is he holding in his hand?  Did something drip
onto his other hand?  Try to see your image from the viewpoint of someone who
has never seen it before and see if it still makes sense.

good, and the figure looks better than most of the 
human figures I've seen and suits the rest of the scene.

I think this is a good idea - something different and unusual, but still in
the laboratory vein. The sphere and its contents look good, but let down by the
