The lighthouse needs finer detail.

From pbourke@swin.edu.au:
So much potential but it doesn't quite make it.
Why the spiral on the outside of the lighthouse?

=====
From dvnss@mega.ist.utl.pt:
And how was the ship made? It's nice...

From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:

Nice atmospheric affects..... the water ....not sure about....the spot light...
was too abrupt.

From tony@j4tb.com:
The light coming from the cottage is a nice touch. Your water seems unrealistic.
I would have made it darker.

Excellent shoreline! The pine trees are good, too, and the ship is
marvelous. I would love to know how you got the sails to look so
realistic. Overall, very impressive.

From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk:
The fog's way to bright and the light coming from the lighthouse just looks
like a cone or cylinder with a white pigment. The text file's too long.
if you'd thinned the fog a bit and darkened it the sceen would look so much
better. Basically you've hidden all the good stuff with the fog.

From delfeld@mailcity.com:
I think I have to split up some things to judge this picture. Compositionally,
the line from the lighthouse spiral leads the eye off the page, following the
light. The bottom half has a good composition, and I wouldn't worry about the
texture of the water for a dark scene. . . it can look gray.
The realism is believable without the figures. In the first place, I never saw
the second one until you pointed it out, and it doesn't add anything to the
image, except to make me question why two people who sail ships on the ocean
would fall off a boat in shore waves. Realism would also expect that they are
capable of lowering the sails when you get that close to land, etc. etc. It's
better to not worry about it, unless you are going to do your research. The
fog works well, and the light needs to have some falloff. . . try a regular
spotlight with a quick falloff and media interaction.
You are going to be doing some very nice pictures soon, so make sure that you
listen to the image as well as what you expect for the image.
