I have modelled my swallows according to a book, maybe I should had lent it -
this penguin is far from real. Also the true and the imaginary lightning of
the image don't match... if this isn't an alien world with a second sun to the
upper left of the image.

The light on the hills is wrong - if you are going to have a very bright
fake light, using the lens flare then there should also be a light
source at the same point to light the scene properly

The shadows could be softer.
The lighting is very odd. The location of the sun and the shading of the
mountains do not coincide.
For some reason the image looks like a small-scale model photographed from
very near.

Killer lens flares and plastic penguins, all right! :-) Maybe a bit more detail

on the foreground and to the right? A tad bit lesser shadows with the sunrays 
would've added realism.

The shaping on the ground looks good, and I like the 
sun a lot.  The water texture is nice too.  The shaping 
on the penguin is good, but could use a little work.  
Also, the use of orangish light has the effect of making 
the ice look like sand.

Artistic - Nice!  I like the lens flare, it works well here.
Technical - Nicely done, but maybe the snow could be a little less orange/brown
Concept - An arctic wilderness.
