Hmmm... very interesting. Sorry for the next topic, indeed. :) I liked the 
undersea ambient. Perhaps the body of the mantas look a bit rigid, and the 
stones a bit squared, but the overall scene feeling is great.

I love the Mantari. It looks pretty realistic except there is something about
the image that makes it look like it is not underwater. I think it might have
to do with the IOR.

Are the rays supposed to be that color on the top? It looks like a carpet
pattern. There's a kelp forest in the ocean a couple miles from my house, and
the rays I've seen were nearly black. Other than that, your image looks very
realistic.

The lower part of the fish look unrealistically bright (at least compared
to the plants and shadows).

Stunning work with the backgrounds, Johannes! Very carefully modelled
plants and stones are a good touch, and the colors are well selected
too. On the flip side, the creatures are too flat and unreal. Yet 
absolutely one of the top dogs this round simply for the beauty of it.

A good mood for an underwater scene, and the 
creatures look nice (although I think a texture other than 
plain gray might work better on the underside).  The 
texturing on the rocks look nice, but they seem kind of 
square in shape.  Also, most of the plants seem to have 
gaps about three-quarters of the way up.

Artistic - Very nicely composed.  The rays are very realistic looking and I

          like the way the rocks turned out.
Technical - Not much to complain about here.
Concept - More vegetation of different sorts may have made the image of
wilderness
          more clear.
