Nice sky. Good posing of the dead horse. I think the mountains rise to abruptly
and the whole scene doesn't very natural. Sorry, but I don't think a
post-battle scene relates to "Wilderness" much.

Hmmm... I can't see the topic connection...

From tony@j4tb.com:
Your objects look really nice as do the mountains and especially the horse.
However this scene comes across as being a little off topic.

From jd@surveyor.in-berlin.de:
Nice sky, strange mountains, off topic.

Poor horse!

The first impression that this image gives is very good. However, when looking
carefully to the details, one can see some things that could be done better.
The general ambient of the image and the idea are quite good.
The place where the ground and the mountains meet is not smooth, but there's
a sharp line there. Looks like the mountain is not part of the ground but a
separate object. The texture of the mountains could be better.
The shadows could be a little softer.
The clouds look good.

Nice image, specially the horse.

=====
From dmacisaacj@hotmail.com:
not bad but the scale seems off maybe it's the horse not making dent in snow,
over all pretty good

From bitdaf@tcainternet.com:
The interpretation begged to be explained...or else it's just an 'after battle"
scene. I wish the artist would share those thoughts with us.

From chris_hormann@gmx.de:
Nice idea and convincing winter colors, a bit more individual touch would be
nice
how about some wind blown snow on the objects

=====
From jouni@mikrobitti.fi:
Good modelling especially with the mountains, bushes and the helmet.
Unfortunately
the historical aspects in the image swallow the wilderness theme to some
extent.

=====
From StephenF@whoever.com:
Very nice... the horse looks good, and does a lot to help
flesh out the idea behind the scene. The sky and
mountains look good. The sword looks nice, but doesn't
quite have the realism that the other elements do. The
tree on the side looks very good, but wouldn't more of
the branches be drooping down from the weight of the
snow? (A very minor detail... doesn't really detract from
the scene itself.

From albiaprime@aol.com:
Artistic - Pleasing for an otherwise grizzly scene
Technical - A few technical flaws. Where are the dead soldiers? Why is the
helmet
           partly sunk into the snow but the horse is lying on top of it (except
for
           one rear leg which appears to be buried)? The young trees are
distributed
           very nicely.
Concept - Good, but different interpretation of the topic

Nice... next time more carnage and a little blood perhaps?
Notable for textures, composition
