IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

a foggy graveyard forgotten for a very long time

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

pretty simple actually, the fence is a bunch of simple shapes, a cylinder and a cone on top,
scaled for size with the large corner pole in the back. the stones are simple csg shapes, a
box and cylinder for the round topped one, two boxes for the cross. they were all positioned
and rotated, the rotation being a very very time consuming process. the texture for the stones
is simply the white marble from the default textures.inc, scaled to fit, and with a normal to
make the stones look rougher. the moss is just a granite patterned color_map overlaying the
stones. the ground is a simple plane with a low scale bump normal on it. the fog is simple
too, a general fog, a transmitting fog, and a ground fog. the grass, well, i give many many
many thanks to the PovRay Cyclodpedia. without the grass this picture is a lot less appealing
without the grass in it. it took awhile to get the memory usage down to a level that was
possible to use on my machine though. this picture took almost 100 megs of memory in it's
creation. you'll have to excuse me for not just giving the source to this picture, as it's in
a somewhat messy state at the moment and i think i'd be rather embarrassed to submit it as well
