too dark

Nice concept, nicely executed. The only thing that sort of takes away is the
horizon... needed hills or forest or something... and the bricks look a bit
plastic like ...but those are small issues.... I liked it.

one of the best entries....very emotional

Sad reality. Good submission. Ruins that were just perfect a day prior.

Very well done, Francois! The horrors of Sarajevo are still alive in us.
Clipping the house worked surprisingly well, and the feeling is set right
by the winter night sky (although Earth skies usually don't show nebula-like
stuff, but it's forgivable ;-)) and the naked tree. The exposed bricks are
nice, too. You go straight into my top ten this round. Congrats on your fine
image!

The ground in this scene is impressive, and the building
has a nice deformed look to it. Also a nice use of light
and shadows. I think I would have preferred a different
sky (maybe something bright but moody, to contrast with
the dark building?) Also, the telephone poles look a
little flat. Cool-looking, though.

Nice portrayal of destruction. I particularly like the
exposed bricks, the dented garage door, and the tire
tracks. There is a little internal logic problem. The tire
tracks suggest that someone evacuated after the snow but
before the bombing. So where is the debris that was
blown off the house? It seems as though there should be
bricks, boards etc. in the snow or at least some ominous
mounds under it. Incidentally, I know of no large
constellations that form perfect (and duplicated) circles! In
any case, this is a dramatic image and a very good job ov
modelling.

It's very poignant to see someone do an image like this based on personal
experience. We can't complain about the ruined wall textures being
unrealistic! The building looks quite good, but I'd like to see some more
details of the trees, and it's really rather dark - a bit more light would
help.

Stunning image, I like snow, snow is good. To show that it's recent ruins,
maybe some footsteps crossing in front of the building, or a cat sitting
on a windowsil. Nice work.
