From chris@bluelectrode.com:
Everything looks well modeled...atleast I think so. One question, if it's a
summer's day, early afternoon or late evening it looks, then way is everything
so dark? Even when an object is backlite by the sun it does have color, as do
the objects around it, but everything in your image is almost black. What
would really have been nice is have had everything black a white and lower the
sun/lightsource to an early morning/dawn position. That would have been more
understandable as a composition.

Still, not a bad image, but please, a more descriptive txt file next time.

The image as a whole seems a little dark - even on maximum brightness I can't
make out some of the objects. I would have liked the sky to be a little
brighter and that sun(?) to cast a little more light. The silhouetted trees
are cool.

From bill@apocalypse.org:
it seems over-dark, especially since the sun is above the
horizon Also, I don't recognize the object on its side
next to the pot - did it ad relevance?

=====
From YaelParis@operamail.com:
Really too dark! The sun is already high in the sky for a morning and we can't
see a thing. Also, You didn't mention how you create the image.

Too Dark to judge.

From whhale@nvl.army.mil:
couldn't make out the picture. Probably quite good.

From tom@tomandlu.force9.co.uk:
Far too dark and doesn't really work as a sillohette.

I like your idea of getting up and close to the garden (low lying viewpoint), I
just wish the image wasn't so dark in the foreground.

Well, well, you can be somewhat pleased with it.
Always remember whatever you do that other moniters will have very different
brighness and contrast settings ...
Sometimes even changing the image's gamma before display will not bring it all
as you intended.
In my opinion you made it way too dark.
But the effect is pretty cool, artistic even.
One point though I don't really like the look of these branches in
backlighting.

I like the lot.

Not happy it it? But it looks nice! Good contrast and composition.

=====
From albiaprime@aol.com:
Technical - not bad, but not enough detail visible to make a good judgement
call
Artistic - very good! We are impressed!!! good use of lens-flare,
nice use of deep shadow, needs more plants though
Theme - the image was 'taken' in a garden, but it doesn't show adequately a
garden

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
This is a very dark image - I had to up the gamme adjustment considerably to
even
see anything. The contrast seems far too high, with the shadows extremely dark
-
a little fill lighting would not go astray here. Once beyond that, there isn't a
lot
of detail to look at. What is there looks okay - the sun effect is nice and the
plants seem to have finely detailed shapes - but I think it just needs more
content.

From peter@table76.demon.co.uk:
This looked very dark on my system, hiding the modelling until I adjusted
the brightness. Was it meant to be quite so dark at dawn? Some dramatic
backlighting could be good.
