IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

Whenever I get too stressed or tired at work, I just open my desk
drawer, and contemplate my secret garden. A few minutes, and I'm
ready to go again.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I wanted something different for gardens, but still wanted to do
something with plants, so...

The evergreen tree was my first attempt at a good-looking tree. I
had planned on using the DO_Tree include file, but really wanted an
evergreen, so I started playing... I don't think any significant piece
of the include file is unchanged from the original. The needles are
primarily boxes with a gradient texture. The ends of the needle-bearing
branches have a spray of small cylinders. The construction of the
tree is controlled by random generation of the branches from smaller
sub-branches, also randomly generated.

The decorative grasses are from another macro I had originally
created for the Landmarks round (although I didn't complete my entry
for that round - stacking rocks is not easy). Again, the plamts are
randomly generated.

The grassy beds are boxes, cylinders, and a torus with a simple bozo
texture with color mapping. The flowers in the grass are from the
DO_Flowers1 include file.

There are also a group of bushes from the DO_Flowers file, and a bed of
tulips from the DO_Tulips include file. I have modified the DO_Tulips
file to contain two macros based on the original plants - DO_Tulip(CCode)
and DO_TulipLeaning(CCode), where CCode is used in a #switch to control
the color of the flowers.

The desk itself is partially complete. A different camera angle will
show the narrow middle desk drawer (with lock), but you will also see
that the desk needs to be completed. I will probably make a desk
include file in the future when I complete it.

The floor surface is the carpet in my office, created with a checker
pattern with a secondary pattern in it.

Lights include the window behind my desk, and the lights in the ceiling
above me. (I will also be working on completing my office in the
future - it could come in handy.)

I had a lot of fun working on this - plants are certainly challenging,
and matching textures and colors to reality is as well. Hope you
like it
