Absolutly gorgeous! If it's true that you've only just begun then I'm going
home to shoot myself in the head. :)

I'm looking forward to what you offer in the future!

Nice homage to the man! The way you incoperated several of the stories into a
comprehensive picture provides the viewer with an education that he doesn't
know he's getting. More like this and voting would be a lot harder. great
job.

From timk@jtse.com:
Very nice concept.

Novel use of 3D construction to produce a scene that would traditionally be
rendered using 2D tools.

There's alot happening: almost too much to take in.

Good use of camera bank.

Shouldn't the bottle be the centerpiece of the scene, though?

This is very well done for a beginner and I like your approach to Poe.
I personally would have avoided the bitmap of Fortunato, it somehow
disrupts the homogenity of the pic.

The blood color is too "orangey" to me.

A very nice melange. I like the intellectual interpretation. The use of
texture seems a bit... perfuctory...in places?

From soulmates@gci.net:
While you did an admirable job of trying to include many
references to Poe's work, I think that in the process the
image came out more as a collection of vignettes rather
than as a cohesive story image. All in All though, it's a
great image. :{)

From dwallace@lynx.dac.neu.edu:
A case where the whole is less than the sum of its parts. An image focused on
one of Poe's stories could well get near #1 rating.

From tina@ripco.com:
This is a cool idea but I think ended up just a little too busy. The spilled
liquid looks more like tempura paint than anything else. The bricks'
dimensions seem very odd. The texture on the stone with the writing is very
nice. I like the label on the bottle; it was a nice touch. The face ended
up very effective.

From rbenjam2@tampabay.rr.com:
This is really impressive. Some of the textures could be a little better, but
that's about the only criticism I can make.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Interesting parallels between this image and migocyli.jpg in this round.
The result here, unfortunately, is more of a collage than a single cohesive
visual theme.

From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk:
Text file goes on far too much so havn't bothered reading it. Doesn't look
like much of your own work there. The image could do without the lense
flare. Some nice textures.
