From chipr@niestu.com:
Cool concept.

From grimmg@hotmail.com:
Beautiful image ! I like how you placed the camera. We are one of this alien
looking at the strange object !

=====
From scarmig@ohmss.com:
Although I like the picture I couldn't grasp the connection to theme until I
read the description. I really like the way you pulled of grass, that's a
trick I'll have to remember!

=====
From jake@snafu.de:
The water and the birds are especially cool

=====
From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
Great job. For what you are after I can't think of any
way to improve the image. A highlight, for me, is the
texture on the telescope.

=====
From rbenjam2@tampabay.rr.com:
I really like the texture on the binoculars. The chain is also great. That is
also some of the most realistic water I've seen.

From curtis_cooper@hotmail.com:
Interesting image, but even after reading the text file I still don't think it
has much to do with the subject.

From SebaB@Stb-Citynet.de:
Nice idea!

From tglover@nettally.com:
Nice image! Great paint flaking, puddles, etc. BVrings it all to life.

What can I say constructive? Ummmm. If the birds are so cool -- bring one
in closer so I can praise you on that too! <grin>

Ow, ow , I know! Wasn't the plaque somewhat curved? <grin>

From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com:
Too verbose, but very good interpretation of theme.

=====
From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
This scene is quite photographic in appearance, maybe because of the lighting.

=====
From mark.wagner17@gte.net:
The description reminds me of "Hitchiker's Guide to the
Galaxy" :-) Try making the engraving on the plaque
stand out better.

=====
From joergnick@aol.com:
This picture is my personel winner. The concept,orginality and interpretation is
genial. I love details in a rendered image, and this picture has a lot of it.
Even your story is nicly created. This can be the begining of a child (or adult)
book. Perfect and three thumps up.

=====
From clem@dhol.com:
Topic is a stretch as presented, but in there. Plaque badly
needs more and clearer detail. I really think the humorous
treatment here was a big mistake. Drama or suspense
may have been better. For example: Probe crashed on a
moon orbiting a possible lifebearing planet ... will it be
found? Or far future alien archaeologist digging it up. Or
for irony, it crashes on a war ravaged planet ... is any life
left here? I like the telescope and skin textures.

=====
From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Very clever. The telescope is great... plenty of scratches and corrosion and
peeling paint... this is the sort of detail that makes images seem real.
